West Nest is a community sculpture project planned for Spring
2008 near the Western NSW community of Walgett. The project
will utilise local artists to gather and arrange fallen and
cleared timber in the form of an huge eagles nest. The Sculpture
will be highly visible at its current planned site near to
the highway, and will provide ongoing comment on local environmental
issues and our role as custodians and carers of the land.
The project will be recorded in film, photography and audio
documentary style and will include interviews from participants,
passers-by, environmentalists, artisits and land managers.
